The event was attended by a large number of entrepreneurs of the technopolis and institutional representatives, such as the president of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda, <em>Susana D\u00edaz<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4375 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/accionmk.accionmk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/271125aospta201711270035-41_g-300x194.jpg\" alt=\"president of the Junta de Andaluc\u00eda\" width=\"300\" height=\"194\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The president reported that it has been possible to abandon localisms and attract international companies (60 out of 635 companies in the PTA are foreign), becoming a showcase to attract international companies.<\/p>\n<p>The president was surrounded by the mayor of Malaga, <em>Francisco de la Torre<\/em>the Employment Counsellor, <em>Javier Carnero<\/em>The delegate of the Andalusian Government and the president of the PTA, <em>Jose Luis Ru\u00edz Espejo<\/em>the president of Unicaja, <em>Manuel Azuaga<\/em>the rector of the UMA, <em>Jose Angel Narvaez<\/em>and the president of the international association of parks (IASP), <em>Luis Sanz<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h1><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4376 size-vntd-portfolio-auto\" src=\"https:\/\/accionmk.accionmk.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/271125aospta201711270038-44_g-450x284.jpg\" alt=\"25 years of the PTA\" width=\"450\" height=\"284\" \/>Evolution of the Andalusia Technology Park<\/h1>\n<p>We now turn to comment on the <strong>key figures related to the AWP<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>- <strong>635 companies<\/strong> and around 18,000 workers at the end of 2016.<br \/>\n- <strong>Invoicing<\/strong> of companies in the PTA in 2016 is <strong>1.75 billion<\/strong>.<br \/>\n\u2022 La <strong>investment<\/strong> in the PTA has reached <strong>755.5 million<\/strong> for urban planning, construction, infrastructure and facilities.<br \/>\n- Total area of the AWP: <strong>222 hectares<\/strong><br \/>\n- Built-up area: <strong>410.000m2<\/strong><br \/>\n- Number of <strong>buildings: 92<\/strong><br \/>\n- <strong>7 Technology and R&amp;D centres<\/strong><br \/>\n- <strong>9 Accelerators and incubators<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The PTA represents the<strong> 7,95% of the GDP of the province of Malaga<\/strong> and 1.6% of Andalusia's GDP.<br \/>\nThe PTA represents the <strong>8.27% of employment in the province<\/strong> and 1.65% at regional level.<\/p>\n<p>The total number of companies that have come to the PTA since its inception has been 1,640 companies.<\/p>\n<p>Since its beginnings, the PTA has had a strong international vocation.
